L'interno

Al visitatore che si lasci affascinare dalla tortuosita' delle strade anche talvolta sterrate dell`interno che si dipartono dalla SS 125 Orientale Sarda si offrono i panorami mozzafiato dei tacchi (Torrioni isolati di origine calcarea), dei solitari altopiani del Golgo e del Supramonte, dei contrafforti delle Barbagie e del Gennargentu che convergono sul Montarbu.

In questo vasto territorio incontaminato e selvaggio si incontrano vari insediamenti archeologici (domus de janas - case delle fate - e tombe dei giganti) oltre che nuraghi, costruzioni imponenti ricche di storia fascino e mistero. Ma anche piccoli villaggi campestri con chiesette caratteristiche nella loro architettura popolano queste campagne.

Una visita inconsueta e ricca di fascino della regione e' quella che si fa a bordo del Trenino Verde delle Ferrovie della Sardegna che si inerpica nelle montagne ricche di boschi e foreste attraverso questi scenari incantevoli per riscendere verso il mare giungendo nella stazione di Arbatax.
